The Blum Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life of those suffering from kidney disease by providing tools and advocacy, allowing patients to take a more active and informed role in their health care.

The Blum Family Foundation is a national non-profit organization founded by a kidney patient for other kidney patients. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of kidney patients through education, federal and state advocacy, and patient engagement.

Understanding kidney diseases is a critical first step towards improving your health. Since its inception, Blum Family Foundation has provided educational tools that patients need to better understand their particular disease and take a more active and informed role in their health care.

Our efforts, across the country, to speak on behalf of patients and their families have improved their lives and well-being - benefiting all American's suffering from kidney diseases. Building communities among patients and their families, health care professionals, and other support groups is an important goal of the Blum Family Foundation.

Welcome to the fight to help kidney patients! Your vote and voice does count.  Kidney disease has many human costs – stress over treatment choice and access, loss of income, the struggle to stay employed and free from dependency on disability assistance, stress on family and loved ones and delayed dreams.  You play a vital role in shaping the future of kidney care.

Businessmen

Blum Family Foundation supports innovation in the kidney and mental wellness spaces. We are actively involved in market research – to share the patient voice and experience with renal companies, psychologists and clinical trials  – to create more and better treatment options for patients, so they can achieve their aspirations.

You may have heard the term “clinical trials” but wonder what that means. Is a clinical trial something you can participate in? What do you need to do to get started? We have pulled together some information that you might find helpful as you decide whether you would like to participate in a clinical trial.
